7. How do I return an item?
We have a comprehensive returns policy that can be found on our returns page. Please note we issue a 15% restocking fee for non-material damaged returns.

8. Why do I need to wear gloves?
Wearing gloves to protect your hands and skin will improve your skin condition, reduce cuts and skin damage, reduce the risk of contamination, improve handling performance and comfort, and improves your hands for life. We offer a wide selection of hand protection to suit all working environments. The different sizes offer the exact fit required so maximum comfort and wearability is achieved.

9. What are all the EN numbers on your website?
An EN rating applied to a product indicates that the product has been rigorously tested to a high standard by independent experts. This means that the product, when correctly used, will offer protection for the wearer to an agreed standard.

10. What does Safety Footwear actually mean?
All our safety footwear is manufactured to EN345 which offers protection to the toes of 200 joules either through a steel or composite toe cap. Safety footwear should be worn if there is a danger of injuring your feet through broken bones or skin damage.  We offer an entire range of safety footwear to suit most industries and users.

11. What is the difference between valved and non-valved masks.
Always ensure you are using the right face mask for the right hazard to give your lungs maximum protection. Dust masks should always be fitted correctly. Valved dust masks improve comfort as they make it easier to exhale, reduce sweat and hot air.

12. It’s easier for me to see and work without safety goggles, so why wear them?
Reports of both minor and major eye injuries are on the increase. You only get one pair of eyes – so protect them. Our range of eye protection is designed for maximum comfort and wearability, most are adjustable, and we are sure to have a style to suit everyone.

13. Why do I need to protect my hearing?
Long term damage can be done to your ears, nervous system and brain if adequate protection in noisy environments isn’t taken. Hearing protection must be provided when noise levels reach 80dBA, and worn when noise levels exceed 85dBA. We supply a range of different hearing protection products to suit most wearers.

14.  How often should my safety helmet be replaced?
There is no current legislation concerning the expected lifespan of safey helmets, however we recommend replacing every 2 – 5 years. If your helmet becomes badly scratched it should be discarded immediately.   The cost of a new helmet from Swift is incomparable to the cost of compensating for injury or even death.  If there is any possibility of the head being injured wearing head protection is a mandatory requirement.

15. Can I link to your website?
In order to link to our website you must request written permission signed by the directors before any form of link is assigned. Further details are available in our terms and conditions.
